One of America's most performed and revered playwrights, Wendy Wasserstein won both the Tony Award for Best Play, as well as the Pulitzer Prize in Drama for her play "The Heidi Chronicles." Along with "Uncommon Women and Others," "The Sisters Rosensweig," "Isn't It Romantic?" among others, Wendy Wasserstein was an important voice for women, feminism, and family. Her characters, strong, intelligent, and successful nonetheless struggled with their identity, and self-doubt in finding a meaningful place in the world.
