KPFK is powered by its Volunteers!
If you're ready to be a part of the KPFK family, fill out the form below, come down to the station between 9pm- 5pm or call the front desk at 818-985-2711. We always need help at the front desk, especially during fund drives. There are also plenty of other opportunitites. Let us know, and we'll find a place for you at KPFK.
The KPFK VOLUNTEER PROGRAM provides an important opportunity to participate and contribute to one of the most important and significant news and information organizations in the United States and around the world. The program is designed to provide opportunities to community members of Southern California and the college campuses within our listening area. KPFK seeks to initiate this important effort through the collaboration with community organizations, our listeners and our community colleges and universities. KPFK will contribute to the development of students and community organizations through education and community radio. KPFK interns receive college credit for their work here, but opportunities are open to anyone who wants to learn about radio, and progressive media. Here are just some of the areas that interns/volunteers contribute to on a daily basis.
Volunteer grant programs are giving programs in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where employees volunteer regularly. If you volunteer with us, it's an easy way to provide us with additional financial support! Volunteering at least 3 hours at the station also makes you a member for the year, and eligible to vote in the local station elections.
